Numeracy is a key skill and we aim to empower every pupil to reach a level of numeracy which will enable them to reach their full potential during their time at Redmoor and beyond.
There are several programmes in place to support pupils of all levels of ability, including a Maths Homework Club. This is a place for students to not only come to complete work, but also receive further support and guidance in a learning environment outside of the classroom.
Redmoor also implements a numeracy intervention programme: targeting pupils across the whole spectrum providing opportunities for small group work. The intervention programme not only aims to boost maths capability in the traditional sense, but also enhance the pupils’ creativity and investigative skills, whilst being fun, exciting and applicable to “real life”.
