What do we do?
At Redmoor our Student Voice representatives are democratically elected by their tutor groups to represent peers’ views and opinions and put forward suggestions, queries and concerns on their behalf.
Year 10 pupils take turns to chair the meetings and take responsibility for their own agenda and minute taking.
Discussions centre around fundraising events, improvements to the school building, the creation of surveys to gain an insight into pupils’ views, queries or ideas from the school suggestions box, amongst many other things.
Student Voice also feed back to their peers on a weekly or fortnightly basis to keep them up to date on their work and also appear in assemblies occasionally to talk to the school about their projects.
The Student Voice can spend time working on projects and a Student Voice notice board where pupils can find out what the Student Voice are doing at the moment, who their Student Voice are and when they will be meeting.
