Redmoor 50
On Saturday 27th June, we welcomed the community into school to celebrate 50 years of Redmoor Academy, a special milestone bringing together our past, present and future.
The day was filled with music, performances, memories and celebrations, with our students showcasing their talents through Performing Arts, student exhibitions and activities across the school.
Visitors enjoyed school tours, a journey down memory lane, traditional fete games, craft stalls, refreshments and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with the Redmoor community of past and present. We were also thrilled to welcome visitors into our memorial garden for the first time, recognising staff and students we have lost. This space is currently being transformed and we were very grateful to receive a generous discount on our new plants from Sapcote Garden Centre.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a memorable celebration, including Councillor Cathie Gibbons who celebrated our long serving staff with us. We were joined by brilliant cheerleaders from TKT who supported our event with a great display, and by JAM Music Schools in Hinckley who put on a great show.
We are incredibly proud of our history, grateful for the community we have today and excited for the future ahead.
