Redmoor Academy is well-known for its excellence in Special Educational Needs. We have a strong team of professionals who are trained to deliver a variety of intervention programmes to ensure that all pupils, despite their additional needs, achieve their full potential.

We have good relationships with external agencies and are able to access specialist advice and support from a variety of services. Agencies that we work closely with include, Educational Psychology Service, Autism Outreach Service, Community Pediatricians, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.
In addition to this, we have developed strong links with the local primary schools and upper schools so that we can work together to organise a tailor-made transition programme for pupils with special educational needs, to ensure smooth transition throughout the Key Stages.
