Single Day Closure
If Redmoor is closed for students for a single day, due to adverse weather conditions, a critical issue with premises or industrial action, communication will be sent home detailing our expectations of students.
Work that is set will be posted by individual class teachers via ClassCharts, with teachers detailing what is expected of students and any links to resources students may need.
Extended School Closure
If the school is to be closed to students for a longer period of time due to a national event or crisis, information regarding remote learning will be communicated home.
All subject specific communication will be through ClassCharts, with teachers detailing what is expected of students and providing any links to live learning and resources.
Extended Student Absence
Any student who is absent for a long period of time due to medical reasons or for exceptional circumstances will have appropriate learning provided in a specific way for their situation. This will be decided upon in agreement with pastoral year managers and the attendance team.
Our record of results demonstrates that students who have strong attendance achieve exceptional outcomes, and therefore we know the best thing for students is to attend every lesson, every day. It is only through extreme and exceptional circumstances where this may be different.
