Moral and Ethics is a course designed to give students the opportunity to discuss different issues and investigate a variety of religions.
Students will study a module each half term and will be able to develop their discussion skills as well as forming their own opinions about different issues. Group work, presentations, ICT and drama are some of the methods that students are encouraged to use within the lessons. There is also a visit out of school for year 7.
There is an emphasis on religious studies within all the modules, and pupils will be assessed from the two attainment targets, learning about religions and learning from religions.
The course is based on a GCSE modular course and therefore provides a good basis for skill development and interest for further development at KS4.
