Capture and Create - A fantastic day of creativity and collaboration at school today!

We were delighted to welcome Lucy from Pangaea Sculpture Centre, alongside Nicola, an Artist in Residence all the way from Manchester, to lead a sculpture workshop with our students.

Using clay, paper, foam and plenty of imagination, students designed and created models for ideas that could become part of our new Memorial Garden. It was a wonderful opportunity to get hands-on, explore different artistic techniques and contribute to a project that will have real meaning for our school community.

The Go Outdoors team had a cracking first day yesterday which began with some awesome bow and arrow skills from several students - there were some high scoring archery rounds! We then moved into the woods after dinner for a bear grylls style survival activity - we had fun making shelters (and outdoor play equipment) and finishing it off with hot chocolate and s'mores round the campfire.

Today we had a great day in the sunshine, the morning was full of climbing and abseiling, with lots of students overcoming fear at the top of a very high tower! The afternoon was spent running about the site on an orienteering challenge, with some great navigational skills on show.
